Brasserie Pakhuis is located close to the Korenmarkt, the big square near the shopping street. Hidden in a very small alley, it is difficult to find. This enormous building with 2 floors and over 600m², is decorated by the famous architect Pinto, who you may also know from the restaurant Belga Queen.
The special interior has an industrial look with a lot of steel. The French-Italian kitchen runned by Chef Koen Lefever serves classic and seasonal products. It is very important for the chef to only use high quality products. Their number one dish is their big plate of oysters, sea- and shellfish. They have over more than 10 different types of oysters. Not only their oysters are popular
but also their chicken-dishes. The restaurant owns a small farm “Ferme Le Devant” in France, located in La Chapelle Naude. Here they grow their own chickens (Bresse). The large and central bar in the restaurant is a real eye-catcher. Here you can enjoy a nice cocktail, beer, coffee or a small dish from “The Chef’s Corner”. Perfect for lunch, or a small get-a-way. Outside you can find the beautiful terrace which is open from Mai untill October. For guests who prefer to have their meal at home, it is possible to order and pick up some of the dishes. On their website you can check wich dishes you can order to take away. We recommend you to reserve your table, especially during the weekends. It might be a little bit like a touristic place. But it is worth it to see it. Because of the large capacity, it can be a little bit loud and noisy in the restaurant on some occasions. Prices are between 15€ and 30€ per dish. The restaurant is located within 5 min walk from the hotel.
